Excavating Tough Terrain for a Critical Septic Repair in North Smithfield

North Smithfield, RI – August 2024

Every property is different, and in North Smithfield, the terrain put us to the test. This project began with a simple call for a septic system replacement, but it quickly became clear the job would be anything but routine.

The site had no easy access. We had to clear a path through thick woods just to get our excavator and dump trucks in position. Once in, we encountered large boulders and dramatic elevation changes that required careful planning and excavation to create a workable site.

The customer needed a new 1,000-gallon septic tank and a GST (Geotextile Sand Filter) leach field. These components were installed with precision, despite the difficult conditions. Our crew reshaped the terrain for proper grading, ensuring water flows away from the house and the leach field performs efficiently.

When the work was complete, we restored the site with loam and hydroseed, transforming a rugged job site into a lush, green lawn. The homeowner now has a fully functional septic system, improved drainage, and a yard that looks better than ever.
